You may have gotten yourself involved in a venture that you did not fully understand at the time, even though you thought you did. Now that you know more about it, you realize it isn't a good thing for you, but you may feel too embarrassed to get out of it. It isn't that this is an ironclad commitment. It's just that you don't want to appear foolish for not knowing all there is to know. You're too hard on yourself. You have high standards, but sometimes you just have to relax and allow yourself to be human.
